1X, formerly Halodi Robotics, is a humanoid robot company founded in Norway in 2014 by roboticist Bernt Børnich and now headquartered in Palo Alto, California, with NEO built at its own factory in Hayward, California. Its first humanoid, EVE, is a wheeled robot built for industrial and security work. Its NEO is a soft-bodied bipedal home humanoid designed to help with household chores such as tidying up, folding laundry and putting dishes away, powered by 1X's Redwood AI model, which learns new tasks from human demonstration.
