About Botsdex
What Botsdex is and who is behind each listing.
What is Botsdex?
Botsdex is a marketplace for robots, organized around the work they do. You start from a job, like scrubbing a warehouse floor or running food to tables, see the robots built for it, and buy, rent, or lease one from the seller that offers it.
Who sells the robots?
Independent sellers: manufacturers, authorized distributors, integrators, and resellers. Botsdex does not make or stock robots. Every listing names its seller, and that seller ships the robot, supports it, and sets its return policy.
Botsdex runs the marketplace, the checkout, and the Purchase Guarantee that covers every order paid through it.
Is Botsdex only for businesses?
No, anyone can browse and buy. The catalog is built around jobs, from cleaning and logistics to hospitality, manufacturing, and events, so most robots are made for commercial settings.
Can I buy from anywhere in the world?
You can browse from anywhere. Whether you can order depends on the seller: each listing shows the countries it ships to, and when you set your delivery country it tells you the freight to get there, or that the seller does not ship there.
Finding the right robot
Searching by job, reading a listing, and comparing prices.
What is the best way to search?
Start with the job, not a product name. Type the work you need done, such as “clean a supermarket floor” or “move pallets”, or pick one from Jobs. Each job page lists the robots built for it with the filters that matter for that work.
If you already know the maker, Brands groups the catalog by manufacturer.
Why do robots with similar specs have different prices?
Because the price covers more than the hardware. Software licences, sensor and battery options, warranty length, installation, training, and local support all differ between sellers. Each listing's “Delivery, install & support” section lists what is in the box, what is not, and the add-ons on offer, so compare those before you compare the number.
What does deployment involve?
Deployment is everything between the crate and useful work: mapping your site, installation, connecting to your systems, safety checks, and training the people who will run the robot. On each listing, “Specs & site fit” says what the robot needs from your site, and “Delivery, install & support” says what the seller does for you.
Does Botsdex test the robots?
No. Specs and claims on a listing come from its seller, who is bound by the Seller Agreement to keep them accurate, and Botsdex removes listings that are inaccurate or unsafe. For anything critical to your site, ask the seller for the datasheet, certifications, or a demo before you order. If what arrives does not match the listing, the Purchase Guarantee covers you.
Prices, delivery, and taxes
What you pay, in which currency, and what reaches your door.
Does the price include delivery?
Delivery is always priced before you pay. Use “Deliver to” on a listing to set your country and the freight appears as its own line under the price, or the listing says it is included. You choose the exact delivery address in your cart, and checkout does not start without one.
Are import duties included?
Only when the listing says duties are paid. Otherwise import duties, customs fees, and brokerage in your country are yours to pay when the robot arrives, so check the Duties line before you order. Any tax charged on the sale is shown in the checkout total before you pay.
Which currency will I pay in?
Checkout charges in US dollars. You can show prices in your own currency from the region menu at the top of any page, converted at daily reference rates as a guide, but your card issuer's exchange rate sets the final amount on your statement.
Why does a listing say “Price on request”?
Its seller prices that robot per project, usually because configuration, site work, or volume changes the total. Use “Request a quote” on the listing to tell them what you need, and they reply to your email with a price.
Buying, renting, and leasing
How an order works, from checkout to messaging a seller.
What is the difference between buying, renting, and leasing?
Buying: you pay once and the robot is yours.
Renting: you book the robot for set dates, for an event, a peak season, or a trial, and it goes back to the seller at the end.
Leasing: you pay monthly, under the seller's terms for how long the lease runs, who maintains the robot, and what happens at the end.
Each listing offers one of the three, shown in its price block.
How do I pay?
Checkout is handled by our secure payments partner, so Botsdex never sees or stores your card number. You pay by card, and a purchase that also accepts US bank transfer says so in its Payment line. Rentals and leases are paid by card.
Can I buy from several sellers at once?
Yes. Your cart holds robots from any number of sellers and groups them by seller. You check out once per seller, because each one is paid, ships, and supports their robots separately.
What does “Contact seller” mean?
That seller takes orders by message rather than at checkout. Edit the prefilled message on the listing and send it; the seller replies to your email to agree the price, delivery, and payment. Every request you send is kept in Orders.
The Purchase Guarantee only covers payments made through Botsdex, so a deal you settle directly with the seller is not covered by it.
Where do I follow my order?
In Orders. Each order shows its status, delivery details, and a message thread with the seller. Keep your conversation there: it is the record Botsdex reviews if you ever need to raise a claim.
Buyer protection
What the Purchase Guarantee covers and how to use it.
What does the Purchase Guarantee cover?
Every purchase, rental, and lease paid through Botsdex, from every seller. It covers a robot that never arrives, arrives damaged, or is materially different from its listing. When a claim on a purchase is upheld, you get back the robot's price and the shipping you paid, and the seller pays any return freight.
A seller cannot waive it, and a final-sale listing is still covered. Read the Purchase Guarantee.
Something is wrong with my order. What do I do?
Open the order in Orders and message the seller. Photograph the crate before you unpack it and the robot before you power it on; a damage claim relies on those pictures. If it stays unresolved, use “Request a resolution” on the order: the seller then has 48 hours to offer a fix, and if they do not, Botsdex steps in and reviews the messages and evidence from both sides.
You have 180 days from delivery to raise a claim. Safety issues and suspected fraud can come straight to Botsdex, at any time.
Can I return a robot if I change my mind?
That is up to the seller's return policy, which every listing shows before you pay: how many days after delivery you have, any restocking fee (never more than 30%), who pays return shipping, and any conditions such as the original crate. Zero days means final sale. Your legal rights where you live are not affected, and neither is the Purchase Guarantee.
How are sellers checked?
Every seller who takes payment on Botsdex has passed identity and business verification with our payments partner, and a seller who breaks the Seller Agreement can be suspended, which takes their listings down.
Reviews help too. Anyone signed in can review a robot, and reviews from a Botsdex purchase carry a “Verified purchase” badge, so you can tell them apart.
What is not covered?
Anything paid for outside Botsdex, even with a seller you found here. It also does not cover wear or damage after delivery, ordinary servicing and consumables, or business losses such as downtime. The full list is in the Guarantee.
Selling on Botsdex
For manufacturers, distributors, integrators, and resellers.
Who can sell on Botsdex?
Manufacturers, authorized distributors, integrators, and resellers of robots. Start at Sell on Botsdex: tell us about your company and where you sell, then accept the Seller Agreement.
A business anywhere can set up its storefront and listings. To take payments, the business must be registered in one of the supported countries, where our payments partner can pay sellers. A business registered elsewhere can sell through a company or distributor registered in one of those countries.
What does it cost?
Listing is free, with no subscription. When you make a sale, Botsdex takes a 20% commission on the item price, add-ons, and delivery, excluding taxes, and pays the payment processing fees out of it. Advertising is optional, and its fee applies only to sales a campaign you start brings in. The Seller Agreement sets out the details.
How do I get paid?
Through our secure payments partner. Set up your payout account from the seller dashboard and verify your business. Each order is paid out 30 days after the robot's recorded delivery, or 3 days after delivery once you have an established record, and never later than 90 days after payment. You can start building listings before that, and you need the payout account in place to publish and take orders.
Which countries can a seller be paid in?
Our payments partner supports businesses registered in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States.
What does a listing need before it goes live?
The job the robot does and where it works, the countries you ship to with a freight rate for each, and your return policy, even if that policy is final sale, plus the fields that matter for its job. The editor lists anything still missing before it lets you publish.
Account and support
Signing in, your data, and reaching the team.
Do I need an account?
Not to browse or search. You need one to check out, message a seller, write a review, and keep your favorites, browsing history, and orders in one place.
What is Fleet?
Fleet is Botsdex's workspace for the robots you own: every unit with its documents and warranty in one place, shared with your team. It is not open yet, and shows as Coming soon until it is.
How does Botsdex use my data?
The Privacy Policy explains what we collect and why. Analytics cookies are optional, and you can change your choice at any time from Cookie preferences in the footer.
How do I contact Botsdex?
Use the contact form and pick the topic that fits, from buying and listing to orders, partnerships, and legal questions. We aim to reply within two business days. For an urgent safety issue, choose “Safety, legal, or compliance” as the topic. For a problem with an order, start from the order in Orders instead: the seller thread and the resolution request both live there.
