Knightscope is a Sunnyvale, CA security technology company founded in 2013 by William Santana Li and Stacy Stephens. Its K5 autonomous security robots patrol parking lots, campuses and walkways, alongside the K1 range of fixed units and emergency communication devices such as blue light towers, with the larger, faster K7 in development. Since a 2026 acquisition it also fields licensed armed and unarmed security agents, and a remote monitoring team verifies detections and coordinates response for hospitals, schools, retailers, casinos and utilities.
