Universal Robots is a Danish maker of collaborative robot arms, founded in Odense in 2005 by Esben Østergaard, Kasper Støy and Kristian Kassow, and part of Teradyne since 2015. Its cobots work beside people and share the PolyScope software, across the lightweight e-Series, such as the UR3e, UR7e and UR12e, the heavy-payload UR Series with the UR20 and UR30, and the g-Series built for AI-driven tasks. Manufacturers use them for machine tending, palletizing, welding, assembly, packaging and inspection.
