A walking humanoid for research, service and interaction. Walker X is UBTECH's humanoid service robot, 130 cm tall and 63 kg, with 41 high-performance servo joints. Upgraded vision-based navigation and hand-eye coordination give it improved autonomous movement and decision-making, so it can move smoothly and provide intelligent service in a variety of settings.
It walks at up to 3 km/h with a human-like gait, climbs steps of up to 15 cm, handles 20° slopes and adapts its foot posture to surfaces from tile and thick carpet to gravel and lawn. A four-eye vision system and dual RGBD sensors work with 7-DoF arms and 6-DoF force-controlled hands to recognize and handle objects, and UBTECH says it can use household appliances such as refrigerators, coffee machines and vacuum cleaners. U-SLAM navigation combines visual and 3D navigation with 2.5D obstacle avoidance for dynamic scenes.
For interaction, a 160° 4.6K HD dual flexible curved face screen, a four-dimensional light language system and a built-in display of more than 28 types of robot emotion pair with multi-modal perception across vision, hearing, touch and environment, backed by object recognition and UBTECH's own facial recognition. It can control common AIoT devices through open interfaces and runs about 2 hours under combined working conditions on a removable 54.6 V battery that recharges in 2 hours, with the ROSA software framework and the Webots simulation platform.
