Unitree B2 is an industrial-grade robot dog for work such as power inspection, industrial inspection and emergency rescue, with IP67 protection and an operating range from minus 20 °C to 55 °C. It is built for stable travel on slippery or uneven surfaces, climbs stairs continuously and crosses obstacles such as wood piles and 40 cm platforms.
It is strong as well as agile. B2 walks with more than 40 kg on board and holds at least 120 kg standing, climbs slopes steeper than 45° and jumps more than 1.6 m, driven by joints with about 360 N·m of torque. Its 2,250 Wh battery gives more than 5 hours and over 20 km of walking unloaded, or more than 4 hours and 15 km with a 20 kg load, and it can be changed quickly, with autonomous charging and a wheeled configuration available as options.
For your own applications, B2 carries a 3D LiDAR, two depth cameras and two optical cameras, plus standard Intel Core i5 and i7 computers with room for optional Orin NX modules. Four gigabit Ethernet and four USB 3.0 ports handle connections, and it receives continuous over-the-air updates. Unitree notes that some functions need human operation or secondary development, and that sensors and computing vary by configuration.
